The new Bookmobile,
FRED 2.0 is here!
Click on Services in the menu above and then look for the bookmobile photo for more information.  Or you can use the link below to access the bookmobile calendar directly.
The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

Windsor Public Library
is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

Computer Access Available at All Branches

As of next Monday (August 17), public computer access will be available at all WPL branches – with Chisholm, Forest Glade and Seminole joining the list of locations already offering the service. All public access computer stations are separated by Plexiglas dividers and social distancing between stations is in effect – resulting in a reduced number of computers in operation. WPL Adopts Plan to address Racism and Social Inequity

At the regular July meeting of the Windsor Public Library Board, directors unanimously passed a motion to adopt an Anti-Racism Action Plan.  The document provides a framework and plan to address racism and social inequity in the workplace and in the services and programs it provides. “Public libraries are meeting places for people, ideas, learning and culture,” says WPL Board Chair, Councillor Rino Bortolin. “They are places for community learning, where ideas are debated, issues of the day discussed and places where the community is welcomed.  Continue Reading...

Central Branch Opens Doors For Public Computer Use

Effective Monday, July 27, Central Branch (185 Ouellette Avenue) of Windsor Public Library will open for customers wanting computer and internet access.  The trial period will run through Friday, July 31, at which time a decision will be made on the feasibility and practicality of gradually opening the doors at all branches.  It should be noted that Central Branch will ONLY open for computer access.
