GOOD NEWS: WPL BEGINS TO RE-OPEN

Finally, some great news as Ontario begins to re-open.  Windsor Public Library will cautiously begin to resume offering services over the next several weeks, culminating later this summer with all branches offering browsing and computer access.

On June 21, branches will continue to provide curbside holds pickup and we will be resuming  in-branch computer and photocopier/scanner use with capacity limits.  Existing protocols will be in place and returned materials will be moving to a 24-hour quarantine period.

On Monday, July 5, we anticipate adding browsing and borrowing with capacity limits and the end of curbside pick-up.  We will once again be able to assist customers with regular transactions.  Other than computer access, there will be no seating provided and in-person programming will remain suspended.

Later this summer, we anticipate all branches will be open for regular services including the use of study space and seating areas. Capacity will continue to be limited as per government restrictions and in-person programming will remain suspended at this time.

Plans can change and we will endeavour to communicate changes to the community as soon as possible.

Windsor’s Community Archives and the Local History Branch remain closed.
