The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.

is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

Important Dates For Budimir Branch

–Budimir Branch will be closed from NOVEMBER 18 TO 26 for the commissioning of the new addition; –The new addition will open NOVEMBER 27; –The existing section of Budimir will close NOVEMBER 27 for renovation; –The WPL Bookmobile will be at Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex (2555 Pulford Street) from 10 am to 4 pm Monday, November 18 to Tuesday, November 26 (except Thursday, November 21 and Sunday, November 24); Holds will be available for pick-up on the BookMobile and materials can be returned or renewed. Windsor’s Community Archives is moving to 85 Pitt Street East. To facilitate the move, it will be closed from November 18, 2019 through January 6, 2020.  Appointments for viewing materials or consulting the archivist can be scheduled by calling 519-255-6770, Ext. 4414 or emailing archives@windsorpubliclibrary.com. Muir Branch Opens

The JOHN MUIR BRANCH is the newest in the Windsor Public Library system when it OFFICIALLY opened Saturday, September 28. The 1 pm ceremony at 363 Mill Street in Sandwich Town was attended by close to 300 local library lovers who were in awe of the transformation and commissioning of the 1921 Sandwich Fire Hall and Stable into a stunning 21st. century public library facility. Local History is On the Move!

On Monday September 16, 2019, Windsor Public Library’s Local History and Genealogy collections will be available at 3312 Sandwich Street, the site of the former Sandwich branch of WPL. The Archives will remain at 850 Ouellette, but all of our microfilm collections are coming to Sandwich. Windsor Symphony Orchestra and Windsor Public Library Become Friends of Music

Budimir Branch Construction Update

There will be reductions in public space at the north end of  BUDIMIR BRANCH starting Tuesday July 9.
