WPL Celebrates 125 Years

On December 4 1894, Windsor Public Library first opened at Lambie’s Hall. Library users who paid five cents for a library card could select from among 5,254 books and 60 periodicals. Lambie’s Hall remained the Windsor Public Library for almost seven years, until the Carnegie Library opened in 1903.
