The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

Seed Library Launch Recap & Upside Down Tomato Planters

Thanks to everyone who came out to help us launch our seed library at our Central branch. We had a great time with some wonderful demonstrations, some new experiences, and the result is a beautiful apartment garden for the summer. If you missed it, no worries! Central Garden Party & Seed Library Launch

In 2016, we grew a lot. In Forest Glade, we launched our first Seed Library. Last summer, we also launched our first ever demonstration garden. Thanks to support from Councillor and Library Board member, Rino Bortolin, the balcony garden was a great addition through the growing season. In 2017, we’re making it even better. A new seed library has opened up at the Central Library (850 Ouellette Ave,) and we want to help Windsor harvest all the benefits of growing your own plants. Making friends is difficult if you’ve recently moved to a new city or if work and education time commitments – and life in general – conspire to hinder the process. With the help of a good book, Windsor Public Library plans on providing a fun and casual way for you to meet other young adults in a casual, low-key and fun environment. Library Schedules Open House on New Branch

Later this year, construction will begin on a $2,518,000 heritage project designed to renovate the 1921 Sandwich Fire Hall and stable on Mill Street into a public library. City and library staff have scheduled an OPEN HOUSE to discuss concepts and options for the library project. Construction on the new John Muir Branch is scheduled to begin in late summer 2017 and be completed in the fall of 2018. WPL Partners With Artcite Inc.

Windsor Public Library is excited to collaborate with Artcite Inc. by temporarily hosting two works of arts as part of Artcite’s Dar’a/Full Circle exhibition.
