The new Bookmobile,
FRED 2.0 is here!
Click on Services in the menu above and then look for the bookmobile photo for more information.  Or you can use the link below to access the bookmobile calendar directly.
The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

Curriculum Support For Young eLearners

For parents and guardians with school-aged children, transitioning to eLearning can be a challenging experience. We’re here to help. WPL staff have been hard at work collecting grade and subject-specific resources to support the content being distributed by schools. Tumblebook Library (K-6) is a curated database of children’s e-books, from children’s book publishers such as Simon & Schuster, Chronicle Books, Candlewick Press, Charlesbridge Press, Walker & Company, Annick Press, Orca Books, Lerner Books, and HarperCollins Publishers, amongst others. The collections provide enrichment to students who are reading independently with a variety of high interest material. Library Locations Closed: Non-Essential Staff To Remain at Home

The health of our staff and customers is a key priority as we work to limit the spread of COVID-19. The Windsor Public Library Board closed all library locations earlier this week and joined with the City of Windsor to combat the spread of the contagion. One of our most popular electronic resources is Hoopla – a digital media service that enables you to borrow a great selection of movies, television shows, documentaries, music, and audiobooks that can be streamed or downloaded onto your computer, smartphone or tablet, all with your Windsor Public Library card. Kanopy is providing unlimited free access to Kanopy Kids!  WPL offers free access to streaming video through Kanopy.
