FRED 2.0 is here!
Click on Services in the menu above and then look for the bookmobile photo for more information.  Or you can use the link below to access the bookmobile calendar directly.
The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

is open 7 days a week in 9
locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

New WPL Catalogue & App Coming Next Week

We’re excited to announce that on Wednesday, December 15, Windsor Public Library will be transitioning to a new online catalogue called Enterprise! Anyone who tries clicking on the old catalogue link starting December 15 will automatically be directed to the new one. JOHN MUIR BRANCH RECOGNIZED BY THE CAHP

The John Muir Branch of the Windsor Public Library has been recognized by the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP) with a 2021 Award of Excellence for Conservation in the architecture category. Award recipients Jason Grossi (studio g+G inc., architect) and Christopher Borgal (GBCA Architects) will be formally acknowledged at the virtual CAHP Annual General Meeting in October. LIBRARY TO RECOGNIZE NATIONAL TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY

Windsor Public Library will be marking the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada on Thursday, September 30 with displays of Indigenous content and resources at all branches and online at the Digital Branch. RIVERSIDE MEMORIES PROJECT CELEBRATES CENTENARY

Windsor Public Library will soon be embarking on the Riverside Memories Project, our final event commemorating the centenary of the Town of Riverside.  The project will build – and digitize – a collection of Riverside memories including photos, documents, personal letters and family histories.  Residents will be encouraged to scan and preserve their old photos to share with family, friends and the WPL Local History collection. “Preserving history and memories is fundamental to visiting our past and connecting us all to the community,” says Ward 6 Continue Reading...

JOHN MUIR BRANCH RECOGNIZED BY THE ONTARIO LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

WINDSOR PUBLIC LIBRARY TO RESUME NORMAL SERVICE

With Ontario reaching Step 2 of the provincial three-step Reopening Plan on June 30 – public libraries are once again in a position to welcome customers through their doors.  Windsor Public Library will resume normal library service – with reduced capacity limits – on Monday, July 5.
