The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.
The Bookmobile schedule can also be found in the Events Calendar.

locations in 2026. Hours of operation are also standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

LIBRARY TO RECOGNIZE NATIONAL TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION DAY

Windsor Public Library will be marking the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada on Thursday, September 30 with displays of Indigenous content and resources at all branches and online at the Digital Branch. PRINT PROOF OF VACCINATION STATUS AT LIBRARY BRANCHES

Beginning September 22, 2021, the Province of Ontario requires us to be fully vaccinated and to show proof of vaccination status to access certain businesses and settings. Vaccination receipts can be printed or downloaded from the provincial booking portal. To support those who do not have access to a computer or printer, Windsor Public Library is offering free printing of vaccination receipts at library branches across the city. RIVERSIDE MEMORIES PROJECT CELEBRATES CENTENARY

Windsor Public Library will soon be embarking on the Riverside Memories Project, our final event commemorating the centenary of the Town of Riverside.  The project will build – and digitize – a collection of Riverside memories including photos, documents, personal letters and family histories.  Residents will be encouraged to scan and preserve their old photos to share with family, friends and the WPL Local History collection. “Preserving history and memories is fundamental to visiting our past and connecting us all to the community,” says Ward 6 Continue Reading...

JOHN MUIR BRANCH RECOGNIZED BY THE ONTARIO LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

With Ontario reaching Step 2 of the provincial three-step Reopening Plan on June 30 – public libraries are once again in a position to welcome customers through their doors.  Windsor Public Library will resume normal library service – with reduced capacity limits – on Monday, July 5. GOOD NEWS: WPL BEGINS TO RE-OPEN

Finally, some great news as Ontario begins to re-open.  Windsor Public Library will cautiously begin to resume offering services over the next several weeks, culminating later this summer with all branches offering browsing and computer access. On June 21, branches will continue to provide curbside holds pickup and we will be resuming  in-branch computer and photocopier/scanner use with capacity limits.  Existing protocols will be in place and returned materials will be moving to a 24-hour quarantine period.
