Thank You Mr. Christopher Paul Curtis For Over 15 Years of Continued Support For the Windsor Public Library

For over 15 years,award winning author Mr. Christopher Paul Curtis has visited the Windsor Public Library-Central Library to motivate and inspire students and the general public to write. Sharing his personal stories Mr. Curtis uses wit and creativity to encourage his audience. Thousands of students write as a result of Mr. Curtis’s talks.

SHARE YOUR CREATIVITY – WINDSOR PUBLIC LIBRARY – LIBRARY LIVE CHILDREN’S CLUB WANTS TO PUBLISH YOUR STORIES OR ILLUSTRATIONS.

This year the 15th annual Library Live Children’s Club book will be published. Students in grades 3-12 from all schools are encouraged to submit short stories.

The stories and art work can be a maximum 10 pages, with one inch margins. Please make you art work or illustrations bold to ensure best reprint of  your work. You can use a word processor or your work can be hand written or printed. If done by hand please ensure your work is legible. DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 2016 AT 8:00 PM. Listening to Mr. Curtis this year were students from An Noor Private School, Dougall Avenue Public School, Giles Campus French Immersion Public School, Marlborough Public School, John A. McWilliam Public School Windsor, and St. Angela Catholic School Elementary School participated in the day’s events.

After Mr. Curtis’s presentation, students participated in 2 of 15  activities which included a workshop on writing and illustrating done by retired teacher, author, and illustrator Mr. David Alexander, a local history presentation by Mr. Kim Elliott, toured the new Tech Space and new Automotive Archives, visited the X-Press Self-publishing as well as started working on their own short stories and illustrations.
