Rino Bortolin

Councillor Rino Bortolin was elected to City Council in the 2014 election to represent Ward 3 and in January 2015 was appointed to the Windsor Public Library Board. A chef, restaurateur and author, Rino and his family are strong supporters and users of the Windsor Public Library. Organizational synergy is important, and Rino is looking to identify and implement community partnerships and associations which benefit both the library and the community. He studied philosophy at the University of Windsor and honed his culinary skills at many restaurants in the Windsor area. Currently, he is the co-owner/operator, with his wife Anastasia Adams, of Rino’s Kitchen & Ale House. When pressed to name a favourite book, he immediately mentions Larousse Gastronomique, an encyclopedia of gastronomy.
