The new bookmobile is equipped to offer the same services as a regular library branch, including book lending, digital resources, and various programs for all ages.

The Summer Reading
Program is underway.
It runs  July and August. This year’s theme is “Read, Learn and Discover,” and kids of all ages will dive into stories and activities that encourage them to explore their own backyard—and beyond. From crafting to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to gaming, there’s something for everyone.

We have a new Events

The Windsor Public
Library is expanding its
service in 2025. As of January 5th, nine
branches will be open seven days a week. Hours of operation are also being standardized as noon to 8 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10 am to 6 pm on all other days.

All Branches Closed for Remembrance Day

All library locations will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024, in observance of Remembrance Day. For anyone looking for information on what’s planned to honour those who have fought for our freedom, the City of Windsor has complete details available in the newsroom section of the citywindsor.ca website. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation September 30

All branches of the Windsor Public Library will be closed on September 30, 2024; however, displays of Indigenous content and resources will be featured at all branches and online at the Digital Branch throughout the week. Library Hours Change Sunday September 15

Libraries across Windsor will switch to what has traditionally been labeled Winter hours on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The Central Branch, located at 185 Ouellette Avenue, Budimir Branch, 1310 Grand Maris Road West, and Riverside Branch, 6305 Wyandotte Street East, are each open from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.  The seasonal change in hours will begin on Monday for all other branches.
