Canadian Immigrant Integration Program: A Federal program for newcomers before they arrive in Canada, funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials: Looking for information about how your educational or professional credentials may be recognized in Canada? CICIC can help assess your standing to study or work in Canada.

Global Experience Ontario: An information centre that guides internationally trained individuals and newcomers through the process of becoming certified or licensed to work in one of Ontario’s non-health regulated professions or skilled trades.

Library Settlement Program: The New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence Inc. Library Settlement Partnership service engages local residents with one on-one settlement information and referral, group settlement information and referral, and access to other community agencies and services. Living and Working in Ontario: Settlement.org provides information and advice about moving to Ontario, finding a job, and having your academic documents evaluated.

Ontario Bridge Training: Helps skilled new comers get their license or certificate in their profession or trade, so that they find employment commensurate with their skills and experience in Ontario.

Ontario Network for Internationally Trained Professionals Online: A site for internationally trained professionals that provides information on licensing, employment options and opportunities as well as English language terminology used in these professions.

Skills International: Skills International is committed to full and relevant employment for all of Canada’s immigrants. This searchable database of candidate profiles is dedicated exclusively to profiling the skills of immigrant job seekers in Ontario.

Work in Canada: Published by the Government of Canada, this tool can be used to produce a report on job descriptions, wages, skill requirements, language training, and information on obtaining permits to work.

Working in Ontario: Learn about Bridge programs designed to help newcomers become ready to work in Ontario. This website from the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration also provides information about gaining experience and becoming licensed.
