Joseph (James) Hall Beattie

Joseph (James) Hall Beattie was the 2nd mayor of the city of Windsor, in 1894, having formerly been mayor of the town of Windsor from 1886-1888.

Mr. Beattie was born in 1831 in Prescott and Russell United Counties, Ontario. He was married to Louisa McIntosh Beattie, and at one point owned a dry goods store in Wallaceberg, Ontario. Beattie was also listed as a Lance Corporal in the Canadian Army. He died on June 17th 1906 in his home on Bruce Street in Windsor.
