Stories of Windsor, a podcast produced by the Windsor Public Library, is proud to highlight local World War II veterans in its latest episode. The episode, entitled, “Those Who Served: Stories from Windsor’s WWII Veterans” draws from an original collection of oral histories housed at the Local History Branch. In 1999, library staff and volunteers interviewed fifty-one World War II veterans from Windsor-Essex and recorded their stories for posterity. The audio recordings and transcripts are available for community members to listen to and examine.
