We’re excited to bring you an exciting virtual performance from a local artist, singer-songwriter Crissi Cochrane.

Crissi Cochrane fashions a sultry, soulful brand of popular music, combining her Nova Scotian singer-songwriter roots with her love of jazz, retro pop, and classic soul. Her song “Pretty Words” from her 2014 album Little Sway received more than 11 million listens on Spotify, and she delivered a TEDx Talk in 2018 on her side-hustle of writing custom love songs for listeners around the world. WPL ArtWorks Presents: Vanessa Shields
In this installment of our series, WPL is proud to present local writer, poet and owner of Gertrude’s Writing Room Vanessa Shields. Vanessa’s work has been featured in anthologies and chapbooks, and her own Black Moss Press-published titles ‘Look At Her’ and ‘I Am That Woman’.

Vanessa’s installment of ArtWorks is meant to bring out the writer in you by providing some of the tools you’ll need to get inspired. She’ll walk you through how to create your own inspirational prompt box using items you already have around the house.

There’s something calm and re-assuring about Leary’s performance, who’s known for lulling his audiences into a trance with his golden voice. Join us for this intimate performance and let Leary take you on a road trip throughout Southwestern Ontario.
