History of The Local History Branch
The Local History Branch opened in September 2019. This reference library contains local history and genealogy collections formerly housed at the Main branch on Ouellette. It contains print, microfilm and digital collections related to Windsor history, as well as collections of the Essex County Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. All items are for use in the branch only. Internet access to historical and genealogical resources is also provided, as is the ability to create print or digital copies from print and microfilm originals.
