Summer Reading Kickoff at W.F. Chisholm Branch

Windsor Public Library (WPL) is excited to welcome families back for another vibrant summer filled with free programming designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and a love of reading for children of all ages.

Kickoff Celebration

The Summer Reading Program officially begins with a special kickoff event on Tuesday, July 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Chisholm Branch (1075 Ypres Avenue). Families are invited to join us for an afternoon of fun featuring face painting, games, and interactive activities for kids to enjoy.

A Summer of Exploration

This year’s Summer Reading Program encourages children to Read, Learn, and Discover in new ways. Throughout July and August, WPL branches across the city will offer a wide range of free programs, from hands-on crafts and creative activities to STEM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning and gaming experiences.

Designed to keep young minds engaged, these programs provide opportunities for children to build skills, make connections, and develop a lifelong love of reading—all while having fun.

Join the Adventure

Beginning July 7, Summer Reading Program packages will be available at all Windsor Public Library locations. Whether families attend the kickoff or visit their neighbourhood branch, everyone is invited to take part.

For full program details and event listings, visit your local branch or explore our online Event Calendar.
