NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.  All branches of Windsor Public Library will be closed, but displays of Indigenous content and resources will be featured at all branches and online at the Digital Branch throughout the week.  Also please check here for additional information and resources.

Starting September 26, stop by Fontainebleau Branch for a Dreamcatcher Take & Make Kit.

On September 27 at 4 pm, join us at Budimir for our first monthly Snack and a Story where we pair a book and a special recipe; in honour of Truth and Reconciliation this month we are reading Fry Bread by Kevin Noble and making the recipe from the book.  Registration is required and starts on September 21.  Later that evening, starting at 6, join Ms. Kate at Riverside for a special Indigenous Voices Storytime.

On September 29, you can start your day by picking up a Spirit Bear Activity Pack from the Chisholm Branch.  Then head over to Bridgeview either at 4:30 pm for Art Club to make musical instruments, or any time for a Drum Take and Make Kit; as it happens, that date is also International Music Day!

For more information about these programs, and to find any last-minute additions, please head to our Calendar of Events.
