Virtual Summer Reading Club for Kids

Welcome to Windsor Public Library’s Summer Reading Club – virtual edition!

Just because we’re not able to gather together in person this year doesn’t mean we’re not still able to share lots of stories, games and fun with one another. We’re thrilled to be able to bring you a summer full of online programming to help you read, learn and discover at home.

The Virtual Summer Reading Club 2020 will kicks off today and will run until Saturday, August 14th. We’ll be offering virtual programming for children each weekday including DIY crafts, Curbside ‘Take & Make’ Kits, Storytimes, trivia, STEAM programming and more!

We’ll even have a special surprise virtual visit from one of our favourite childrens’ authors. Stay tuned to find out who it is!

WPL is also excited to be bringing you a colouring contest featuring our very own colouring page designed especially for our WPL customers by local artist Carrie Stephens! Just print it out from home and snap a pic or scan and send it to us at to enter. Don’t have a printer at home? Don’t worry! We can mail a copy to your home. Simply e-mail your request to the same e-mail address.

Do you love tracking your summer reading progress with Windsor Public Library every year? We love hearing from you too and seeing what you’re reading, so we’ve decided to bring our reading log online too! Just fill out this form each time you complete a book and you’ll be entered into our end of summer draw for some fabulous prizes!

Don’t forget to check our website often and follow Windsor Public Library on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to get all the details about the Virtual Summer Reading Club and how you can participate.

I was trying to get info about the pick up activity kits from forest glade location. If they have it? there is no direct number to talk to someone from that location.

Thank you for your question, Colleen.
Activity kits are currently available for pickup at one three branches – Central, Fontainebleau or the John Muir Branch. You can fill out the form above to choose which one of the three pickup locations is most convenient for you.
