Local History is On the Move!

This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic taken in the early 1900s is of four gentleman, Jack Mothersill, Gerald Carlisle, Bernard Bates and Harold Fenich riding their bicycles down Victoria Avenue. All four are dressed in a suit and tie, so maybe they were biking to work or simply out for pleasurable ride on a beautiful day.

On Monday September 16, 2019, Windsor Public Library’s Local History and Genealogy collections will be available at 3312 Sandwich Street, the site of the former Sandwich branch of WPL.

The Archives will remain at 850 Ouellette, but all of our microfilm collections are coming to Sandwich.

This week, collections are being packed and moved, and so are temporarily inaccessible.  Our apologies for inconvenience.
