If you live in Windsor or Essex County and don’t have a library card, WPL has good news for you! You can get immediate access to all of our online resources without visiting a library branch to obtain a library card – simply register for an eCard and begin browsing a world of information.
It’s easy to get an eCard. Complete and submit the online registration form and once approved, you’ll receive an email message containing your library card number and a PIN, which will provide you access to all of our online resources. To qualify for an eCard, customers must be over the age of 13 and reside in Windsor or Essex County.
“An electronic library card provides an opportunity for customers to explore and discover our resources without coming to the library,” says WPL CEO Kitty Pope. “Customers can establish an account and the library can create a relationship with customers without them travelling to a bricks and mortar branch. And of course, an eCard can be upgraded to a regular library card allowing customers to visit and check out materials in person.”
Online resources include eBooks, audio books, digital music, databases, magazines, newspapers as well as movies and videos. Access the online registration form here.
