On Thursday, June 20, celebrations for the 2013 World Refugee Day will begin at Central Library, from 12 noon until 2:30 pm, in the children’s area. To mark the occasion, the picture book choice for today talks about one boy’s experience as a refugee in the United States. “My Name is Sangoel” by Karen Lynn Williams, tells the story of Sangoel, a child from Sudan, who feels frustrated when no one seems able to pronounce his name correctly. Place a hold today, and we hope to see you at Central Library on Thursday for the festivities!
