HOOPLA UPDATE

On May 1, 2024, Windsor Public Library will be removing all existing price caps from Hoopla titles. This means that you’ll have even more great digital items—including the latest and popular movies, eAudiobooks, and eBooks—at your fingertips! changes to our lending services policy

Windsor Public Library is officially fine-free!  We stopped charging late fees during the Covid-19 pandemic and our Board has decided to make that our official policy going forward.   Please note that we won’t be charging late fines but WILL continue to charge fees for lost or damaged items.  It is important that we get our items back so that others can use them!  In order to make sure that our materials are still being returned in a timely manner, we’re going to be implementing the following Continue Reading...

WPL APP IS BACK!

Good news!  WPL’s app provider was able to come to an agreement with the company that supports the app.  This means our WPL Mobile app is once again functional! If you still have the WPL Mobile app on your device, you just need to log back in with your library card number and PIN.  If you’ve uninstalled the app, you’ll just need to reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play. BLACK HISTORY RESEARCH AT LOCAL HISTORY BRANCH

WPL’s Local History Branch is one of many community organizations helping to preserve and promote Black history within the Windsor-Essex County area.  Available at the branch are photographs, Windsor/Essex yearbooks, census records, voting lists, historical maps dating from 1790 forward, scrapbooks, newsletters, and access to early newspapers including; the Provincial Freeman and Voice of the Fugitive.
