Special Needs Sensory Story time

Windsor Public Library, Central branch will begin to offer a new sensory story time for children ages 3-8 with Special Needs; including autism, down syndrome and other learning or physical disabilities, and their families starting Saturday September 12, 2015 at 3pm in the Fred Israel Auditorium.

The program will include songs, interactive stories, rhymes, finger plays, opportunities for co-operative play and sensory activities or crafts to promote literacy and development.

WPL would like to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for the whole family so siblings will be welcome to attend. The first 10 families who register will be able to join us for alternating Saturdays until December 19, 2015.

We will start a waiting list if demand is high for families interested in the Winter session, from January – April 2016.

If you’d like to register your family for this Special Needs Story time, please call 519-255-6770 ex. 4579 or email kurquhart@windsorpubliclibrary.com

Thank you and hope to see you soon.
