This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic is of the Norwich Block along Riverside Drive and Ouellette Avenue. Taken in the summer of 1976 from Dieppe Gardens. The Toronto Dominion Bank façade located at the corner of Riverside and Ouellette, had been saved to be used in a future location. As of 2022, the bank façade is still in storage. Continuing with visits to Windsor by Queen Elizabeth II in honour of her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic is of the Queen’s visit to Windsor in 1959. Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip visited Windsor on July 3rd, 1959 as part of her 45-day tour of Canada. Her Majesty arrived in Canada on June 18th and departed on August 1st.
