Jo-Anne Gignac
Councillor Jo-Anne Gignac has served as city council representative on the Windsor Public Library Board since May, 2012. Jo-Anne, who represents Ward 6, has served as a City Councillor since 2003 and before that as a Trustee, Vice-Chair and Chairperson of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board. A strong advocate and supporter of community-based organizations such as the Children’s Achievement Centre, Windsor Catholic Family Services, Habitat for Humanity and Maycourt, Jo-Anne believes in the fundamental importance of public libraries as a community asset. She has been closely involved with the development of strategic and facilities plans for the library system. Her work on the City Council Operating and Capital Budget Committee’s has been very productive in addressing the financial challenges we face and she brings this same perspective to library operations.
