I found myself so fascinated that I had to learn more and also read the non-fiction book, <a href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:973288\/one\"><em>The Soul of an Octopus<\/em><\/a> by Sy Montgomery. I love it when great fiction ignites my curiosity like this and helps me find even more great reads!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Erica:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:1039687\/one\"><em>Victorian Psycho<\/em><\/a> by Virginia Feito<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:1039687\/one\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/secure.syndetics.com\/index.aspx?type=xw12&amp;client=519-255-6770&amp;upc=&amp;oclc=&amp;isbn=9781631498633&amp;issn=\/LC.JPG\" alt=\"Cover image for Victorian psycho : a novel\" width=\"179\" height=\"273\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">For horror lovers out there, I\u2019d highly recommend:\u00a0<i>Victorian Psycho<\/i> by Virginia Feito. <\/span>The book opens with line, \u201cEveryone here will be died by Christmas\u201d \u2013 what follows is a journey into the sociopathic mind of a Victorian nanny. Purely chaotic and very well written.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Micaela:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:840190\/one\"><i data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Springtime in Chernobyl<\/i><\/a>\u00a0by Emmanuel Lepage<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:840190\/one\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/secure.syndetics.com\/index.aspx?type=xw12&amp;client=519-255-6770&amp;upc=&amp;oclc=&amp;isbn=9781684054602&amp;issn=\/LC.JPG\" alt=\"Cover image for Springtime in Chernobyl\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><i data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Springtime in Chernobyl <\/i>is\u00a0about the author\u2019s sojourn to Chernobyl, alongside a bunch of other illustrators, to document the area in drawings. The point is to showcase the potential for devastation that comes with nuclear energy use. However, when they arrive, they find that Chernobyl isn\u2019t purely a wasteland \u2013 it\u2019s teeming with life and pockets of natural beauty, and it\u2019s a place that many people still call home. The book is interesting because the illustrations juxtapose the moody, dark landscapes of the ruined city with the vibrant blossoming of spring, and it serves as a historical document that sheds light on the long-term effects of the nuclear fallout in Eastern Europe, something that is often overlooked here in the West.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alyssa:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:880005\/one\"><em>The House in the Cerulean Sea<\/em><\/a> remains one of my favourite books of all time. Heartwarming, quirky characters, a beautiful story of self-acceptance and a charming queer love story. Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/wind.ent.sirsidynix.net\/client\/en_US\/default\/search\/detailnonmodal\/ent:$002f$002fSD_ILS$002f0$002fSD_ILS:911387\/one\"><em>audiobook<\/em><\/a> for an even more immersive experience with character voices and expressive narration.
