The Windsor Public
Library is expanding its
service in 2025. Beginning Sunday, January 5th, nine
branches will be open seven days a week. Hours of operation are also being standardized as noon to eight pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10 am to six pm on all other days.

The Windsor Public Library is ready to expand service and take the guesswork out of operating hours in 2025. we’re open during the Sandwich St. Construction Project!

As part of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, sections of Sandwich Street between Chappel Street and Chewett Street will be closed at various times starting May 30, 2024 for an estimated two months.  While parking and routes might be a bit restricted, both the Local History Branch and the John Muir Branch will be opened their regular hours for the duration of the work!  Keep in mind that we can always be reached remotely if that’s more convenient. WPL APP IS BACK!

Good news!  WPL’s app provider was able to come to an agreement with the company that supports the app.  This means our WPL Mobile app is once again functional! If you still have the WPL Mobile app on your device, you just need to log back in with your library card number and PIN.  If you’ve uninstalled the app, you’ll just need to reinstall it from the App Store or Google Play. Library Hours Change Sunday September 15

Libraries across Windsor will switch to what has traditionally been labeled Winter hours on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The Central Branch, located at 185 Ouellette Avenue, Budimir Branch, 1310 Grand Maris Road West, and Riverside Branch, 6305 Wyandotte Street East, are each open from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.  The seasonal change in hours will begin on Monday for all other branches.
