This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic was taken in the 1970s of the Art Gallery of Windsor, located on Riverside Drive West in the old Carling Brewery warehouse. The AGW was originally located in Willistead Manor in Walkerville from 1943 to 1975, when it moved to this location. In 1993, the Art Gallery of Windsor moved to Devonshire Mall when Casino Windsor leased the building. Once Casino Windsor opened its own casino, the AGW decided to demolish this structure and replace it with a new building. Today the facility contains the Art Gallery of Windsor and the Chimczuk Museum.
