The photograph was taken sometime in the early 1970s.The hospital opened its doors on February 1st, 1920. This was the first general hospital in Canada that was operated by the Salvation Army. The hospital closed in February 1st 2004, after providing 84 years of service to Windsor and Essex County. The structure was eventually demolished in the spring of 2013.
