Continuing with our June theme of Royal visits to Windsor in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic has the Queen visiting Windsor on Monday October 1st, 1984, her first visit to Windsor since 1959. Her Majesty was on a 13 day tour of New Brunswick, Ontario and Manitoba from September 24th to October 7th. The Queen is seen accepting a bouquet of flowers from Windsor’s Scarlet Brigade in Dieppe Gardens. Looking on is the Mayor of Windsor Elizabeth Kishkon.
