The Windsor Public Library is holding book sales on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7, from 9 AM to 4:30 PM at Budimir Branch (1310 Grand Marais Road West) and on Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 14, from 9 AM to 4:30 PM at Riverside Branch (6305 Wyandotte Street East).
There will be thousands of titles to choose from, covering all genres of reading and viewing tastes. Hardcover books, trade paperbacks and DVDs will be priced at $2 with mass market, small paperbacks and children’s picture books priced at $1 – but we’re encouraging everyone to pick up a bag and fill it with books for only $5 or fill three bags for $10 (we supply the bags).
Fiction is by far the largest genre for sale – but biographies, history, self-help and how-to items will also be available. The books and DVDs are for sale because of a de-selection process which has made them surplus to need or classified them as out-of-date. Additionally, donated items not needed are also for sale.
By scheduling WPL book sales at various locations, we are providing the opportunity for as many members of the community as possible to explore all of the titles available for purchase.
Please note that capacity limits will be in place to ensure adequate social distancing.
All proceeds from the sale will go to purchase new library materials.
