This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic comes from the Bowlby Family collection that is housed in your Community Archives. This Christmas card was sent from Margaret Bowlby, daughter of Andrew Douglas Bowlby (local business owner and judge), to her friend Janet Laing. The card was dated 1908, when Margaret was age 12. There was just a simple message on the back of the card wishing her friend on behalf herself and older sister Marion a ‘…very Merry Christmas’.
