This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic was taken around 1963. The image is of Chatham Street West at Ouellette Avenue. On the far left of the picture is the S. S. Kresge Company Limited store and across Pelissier Street is the Adam’s Furniture Store. Further down Chatham Street is the former Windsor Gas building now Union Gas. Today, the S. S. Kresge store have been demolished and replace by the Royal Bank of Canada building. The Adam’s Furniture Store and Union Gas buildings still stand, but have been repurposed for other uses.
