Ontario has officially entered into Step 1 of the re-opening plan which allows WPL to re-launch our Ontario Parks Pass program. Through the program, customers can borrow a day-use pass, free of charge, that provides access for one vehicle and its occupants to more than 100 provincial parks in Ontario.
This voluntary program is motivated by a commitment to help Ontarians spend more time in nature, by making it easier and more affordable for people to enjoy the benefits of provincial parks. Please visit the Healthy Parks Healthy People program website for more information about the benefits of spending time outdoors.
Please note that there are a few changes to the guidelines: weekday attendance, Monday through Thursday, until September 2 is free-of-charge. Passes are required for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Park goers also have the ability to book in advance at 17 participating Provincial Parks.
Unfortunately, the park passes are non-holdable so we recommend contacting your nearest branch first to check availability and to ask staff to set one aside for you. If the pass assigned to that branch is in use, staff will happily call around to find one for you at another location.
