The first Throwback Thursday Pic of the new year is of the early days of construction on the Dominion Public Building now know as the Paul Martin Building. Construction started in 1932 as way to help relieve the growing unemployment situation caused by the worsening depression. This photograph was taken on September 24, 1932 as part of series of images showing the progress in the building’s construction. At the end of January 2020, the building will be the new temporary home of Windsor Public Library’s Central Branch. During the month of January, Throwback Thursday will show a selection of photographs showing progress in construction of the Paul Martin Building.
