This week’s Throwback Thursday Pic was taken in the early 1930s looking north along Drouillard Road in East Windsor (Ford City). The large structure on the left of the photograph on Sandwich Street (today Riverside Drive) is Ford Motor Company of Canada Plant No. 1. This was the original Ford plant that was opened on this site in 1904. The plant would be demolished in the early 1970s. On the right side of the photograph at centre is the City of East Windsor Town Hall. This structure would function as a municipal building until 1935 when East Windsor was amalgamated with the City of Windsor along with Walkerville and Sandwich.
