This week’s Throwback Thursday photograph taken sometime after 1865 is of the original St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, located on the southeast corner of Chatham Street and Victoria Avenue. This church served the local congregation from 1865 to 1883, when a larger brick church was build on the southwest corner of Park and Victoria. This wooden church was moved and used as a Sunday School not far from the new church. Because of declining attendance, the church was closed at the end of August 2016 and the congregation was consolidated with other Presbyterian Church’s in Windsor.
