Long-term Care Options – For Seniors

When the time comes, how can we make a better transition to a long-term care facility?

Jenna Martin of the Erie-St. Clair Local Health Integration Network will outline options for seniors or their families. Some topics for discussion include:  eligibility assessment, choosing a new home and the application process, waiting lists, and the bed offer process.

To hear more and pose your questions, come to the basement auditorium of the Central Branch on Tuesday February 20.  The program starts at 6 p.m.  There is no charge to attend.

After reading this article I wondered what if I had to make a transition like that.
You see I have always been independent as I am sure many other seniors have been too. My family would be first & foremost an option ,However if that wasn’t an option I would have to consider going into a facility & believe me it would be my last option as I am sure many other seniors feel the same way .I am happy that the library has meetings & information to help seniors with their decisions for their future. Very interesting article thank you.

I knew I missed something! Will there be another one? I think I should start planning now before my memory gets too bad.
