Just a few years ago, purchasing a tablet was fairly straightforward: choose Android or iOS; choose a size; choose storage capacity. BOOM. DONE. Choosing a tablet today is a little more intensive. There are several major brands to choose from (Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Kobo, Kindle – just to name a few). Some are better for reading and light browsing, some are better for gaming and movies, and some are all-in-one superstars that can do pretty much anything. Price points and screen sizes can range anywhere from teeny tiny to yikes, and on top of all this, you have to think about Apps & stores. So many Apps. So many App stores. How do you know which tablet is right for you? Why not come to the library and try before you buy at our Tech Petting Zoo:
- Get hands-on experience with iOS & Android Tablets.
- See the difference between tablets & eReaders.
- Have a look at Consumer Reports recommendations for tablets, eReaders, Digital Cameras, PCs, and a slew of other Tech Devices.
- Learn more about Apps available to you for free through the library, and which tablets they are compatible with.
