Are you a teen looking to get some volunteer hours done over the summer? You should consider joining WPLs Teen Summer Reading Program at Central Library .

You choose what you want to read (anything, really)! Read for 10 hours and get a prize. Read for another 10 hours and get another prize. For every hour you read after that, you get entered into a draw to win the ultimate prize!

Teens who write Book Reviews of the books they’ve read will get volunteer hours (1 hour per book review). At the end of Hooked on Books, these reviews will be published in a Teen Zone ‘Zine thanks to our Self Publishing Lab.

Hooked on Books takes place every other Monday starting on July 13th. Teens will meet from 2-4pm to discuss what they’ve been reading, to claim prizes and to get help writing the reviews.
