Light The Future NOW!

For over 100 years, the Windsor Public Library has been a community meeting place to exchange ideas, information and to explore the world beyond the boundaries of Windsor and Essex County.

With more than 100,000 active library users, over 55 percent of our community uses, depends and thrives on library services. We log close to 1.5 million visits annually - approximately 13 for each active library card holder.*

The Windsor Public Library provides a world of information, learning and entertainment. We are unique - the Windsor Public Library has something to offer for everyone!

Light the future campaign

Add your favorite books to our collection with a
donation to the Light the Future Now! Campaign

Donors are also invited to work with Windsor Public Library in designating special areas of interest.
Monies raised through your generosity do not replace core funding, but rather enhance the special programs and services we provide.

Our goal is to improve the services and programs we provide. However, as our funding is limited, we need to ask for your support.

The annual Light the Future Now! Campaign helps us add to our collections and research materials and provide resources that would otherwise not be available.

Your support ensures that Windsor Public Library remains your community gateway to knowledge through the “Universal Access to a Universe of Ideas”.

When you complete the RSVP slip and mail it with your donation, you'll be supporting a community institution that
is valued by each and every citizen of Windsor.

You may designate your gift to help fund current needs or direct it toward a library branch. We welcome gifts to support purchases, services and programs. Unrestricted gifts provide us with the flexibility to select areas of greatest need.

Here are some examples of our average costs:

• $35 for 2 children's picture books

• $50 for 2 best selling novels

• $75 for 2 DVD films

• $100 for a new edition of a standard reference book

• $150 for 2 large print books for the visually impaired

• $100 monthly to provide access to a database that provides current, full text content of over 2,400 books related to Information Technology and Business
