The Windsor Public Library Foundation has agreed to support the renovation of the combined Children, Family and Languages section of Central Library with a commitment to raise 1/3 of the cost of these renovations. Total renovations were estimated at $330,000 with the Foundation raising about $130,000.
The newly renovated children’s area houses books in many languages for our ethnically diverse customer base, parenting books, Internet Access, child-friendly software and developmental toys. A designated area for story times and children’s programming helps to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children to call their own.
The Windsor Public Library Foundation is assisting the children and families of our diverse community to grow and develop in an atmosphere that encourages and enables a love of learning.
