Overdue Policy at WPL

Overdue and unreturned materials cost Windsor Public Library a substantial amount of money annually and more importantly, adversely affect the ability of other customers to access these materials. For WPL to continue to provide the best possible service and the widest selection of resources, we have implemented the following overdue policy.

Overdue notices will be sent to customers via email or via phone (patron may select between the 2 options) on the following schedule:

  • 7 days overdue - 1st overdue notice
  • 21 days overdue - 2nd overdue notice
  • 40 days overdue - 3rd and Final notice

Please return all materials when they are due. This allows us to circulate them for the use and enjoyment of others.

ILLO Overdue:

The loan period is determined by the LENDING library, and is subject to their renewal policies. Renewals are granted at the discretion of the lending library.
