earthworms to turn organic wastes into very high quality compost.

Learn how the waste we generate in our homes can be composted and kept out of our landfills and why this method of composting our organic waste can be done even in cold climates. This program is part our Gardening Workshop Series.

crew chief Larry LaMay, will be discussing his new book, “60 Years of Auto Racing.”

He will discuss his younger years of racing in Canada and the U.S. including Checker Flag Raceway in Windsor, to his years working in the NASCAR racing series.

NEW TEMPORARY LOCATION SELECTED FOR CENTRAL LIBRARY

The Windsor Public Library Board announced the sale of Central Library to the Downtown Mission in February with the building scheduled to change hands at the end of June next year.  Since then we have looked at  over 20 possible temporary sites to house the Central Branch while plans are firmed up for a new permanent downtown location. With the end of the school year fast approaching, parents across Windsor will be looking for fun activities which appeal to the whole family – and if they’re free, so much the better! Built between 1927 and 1929 at the south end of Academy Drive in south Windsor, to replace a school located on Park St. East (today the tunnel plaza) in downtown Windsor.
