By the River's Edge: A History of Windsor / Au bord de la rivière: une histoire de Windsor

Detroit/Windsor Tunnel

François Baby House / la Maison François Baby

This program was developed in conjunction with the new permanent exhibit of the same name. Students will look at the history of Windsor through photographs, videos and objects. They will have the opportunity to try on an assumption sash, walk the Ambassador Bridge (in miniature) and test their knowledge of animal furs.

In Search of Sandwich
Duff-Baby Interpretation Centre

Following a short video presentation on the history of the area, students will walk the streets to investigate and discover some of the hidden treasures in their own backyards. Founded in 1798, Sandwich is the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in Southwestern Ontario. Illustrated student worksheets and background information on the buildings is provided.
