Friends of Windsor Archives

The Friends of the Archives is a non-profit organization which supports the Municipal Archives - Windsor Public Library. The members believe the Archives is an essential institution for the collection, preservation and accessibility of Windsor's historical records. Visit the web site.

Goals of the Friends

  • The members are dedicated to improving the Archives' ability to preserve the records of the City of Windsor as well as other select private sector records relating to the history of Windsor.
  • The members are dedicated to raising public awareness about the Archives itself and any issues of importance to the Archives.
  • The members will act as an advocacy group for the Archives with various levels of government and any administrative body which might impact upon the Archives.

Become a Friend of the Archives! The Municipal Archives needs your help, your ideas, and your enthusiasm to make the Archives the best it can be. You don't have to be an active member, just be a member! Your $5 membership shows your support and will go a long way in safeguarding our community's past. You can make a difference by helping to preserve Windsor's documentary heritage for present enjoyment and future generations.
