David Sobolov

David Sobolov is a prolific voice-actor and director.

Sobolov was born in Windsor, Ontario on October 23, 1964. He studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, NY, a prestigious school of theatre whose alumni include Robert Duvall, Leslie Nielsen, and Gregory Peck.

Sobolov is best known as a voice actor, renowned for his ability to project a deep, scary David Sobolovvocal performance. He has voiced a number of villains and edgy heroes for television and videogames. He has been the voice of Gorilla Grodd on the CW Network series The Flash, Drax on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, Shockwave from Transformers Prime, and The Arbiter in the video game Halo Wars.

In addition to his voice-work, Sobolov has also performed motion capture work for the video game Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel and for the movie Sparks. Sobolov is also a director of short films, whose works include 2013’s Faithful and 2015’s The Dentros.
