Windsor Public Library is proud to host the book launch of I Will Remember You by Deborah Pillon.
When Deborah Pillon’s first husband died of a heart attack, she was devastated. Having small children, though, she knew she had to pick herself up and move on. But when her second husband also died suddenly of a heart attack, Deborah was overwhelmed by the loss. People kept telling her to “get over it” and move on. She was lost in a sea of grief and was just going through the motions of her life.
In Freedom to Grieve, which was released in 2013, Deborah shared her moving experiences and lends concrete advice on how to navigate the grieving process. Since the release of the book, she has turned her attention on to creating a book for children who also need to grieve.
I Will Remember You is a book geared to children who have suffered loss. The book is also available in a colouring book version, making it an interactive experience for young people who are mourning. Included in the book is a Parents’ Section with information on how adults can help children deal with their feelings.
Join us Tuesday, July 8 at 1 pm to meet Deborah, hear her story and have the opportunity to purchase the book.
The launch will be in the Children’s area at the Central Library. For more information call Sue at 519-255-6770 ext 4603.
