Make a card Saturday at the Central Library

Mother’s Day is this Sunday and what better way to celebrate mom or grandma (or any other special person) than with a handmade card. This Saturday at Central Library we’ll be “upcycling” pages from discarded books to make beautiful Mother’s Day cards to give away.

As with all of our upcycling programs this craft will emphasize reusing materials to make something new. In this case we’re using books that were damaged or out of date; books that would have been destined for the recycle bin. What a fun way to give them a second life!

The craft will take place at the Central Library on 850 Ouellette from 3-4 pm in the Children’s Learning Center. All ages are welcome with a caregiver and no registration is required. For more information contact Kate at 519-255-6770 ex. 4434.
